Terminating four (4) E1/PRI interfaces in a single PCI form-factor device, the PH-E400P-TOR3 harnesses the benefits of standard PC hardware and the open source Linux operating system and has direct support for Asterisk PBX and openSS7 (www.openSS7.org).

PhonicEQ PH-E400P-TOR3 supports industry-standard telephony and data protocols, including Channel Associated Signaling (CAS), Robbed Bit Signaling (RBS), Primary Rate ISDN (NT1, EuroISDN, etc), and MFC-R2 protocol families for voice, as well as Cisco HDLC, Frame Relay and SS7. Note: SS7 and MFC/R2 are supported by third-party software.

PhonicEQ PH-E400P-TOR3 is fully supported by the Asterisk Open Source PBX and can drive both line-side and trunk-side interfaces, including supporting advanced call features. In addition to conventional telephony, Asterisk extends the strengths of the PhonicEQ PH-E400P-TOR3 to provide Voice over IP and ultra low-latency TDM over Ethernet for greater efficiency and flexibility.
