DMLink DM400A is the 4 port version of DMLink’s family of Asterisk interface card designed for optimum support of voice and data over POTS.

DM400A is a high-performance and configurable PCI telephony adapter that provide rich media processing capabilities for either four or lese analog trunk interfaces. They are specifically designed for the development of Asterisk-based applications. By using DM-S100M and DM-X100M modules with the DM400A, one can create a solution with support for a range of telephones. To scale this solution, simply add additional DM400A cards populated with modules.

DMLink has designed the DM400A to be fully compatible with existing software applications and it is fully integrated with the Asterisk Open Source PBX/IVR platform. Also, the open source driver supports an API interface for custom application development. With the combination of DMLink Hardware and Asterisk software, numerous combinations of telephony configurations are possible.

The DMLink DM X100M/S100M modules allow the DM400A card to terminate analog telephone lines (POTS). The modules pass all the call features any standard analog telephone line will support. Each DMLink DM X100M/S100M module allows the DMLink DM400A card to terminate one (1) analog telephone.

An FXS device initiates and sends ringing voltage. An FXO device receives the voltage sent by the FXS device. The phone receiving the call is the last FXO device in the chain, and when it receives voltage from an FXS device, the phone will ring.

Connect the outside line to an FXO port on your Asterisk server to receive voltage from the outside lines. Connect the phones to FXS ports on your Asterisk server. When the FXO module in your Asterisk Server receives the voltage, it will then generate voltage using the FXS module and send it to your analog phone
